Getting Sneak-y

Happy new year, everyone! I hope your 2016 started with a bang. 😄 I have been inactive for a looooong while. My last post was in August. Geez.

Anyway, for my first post this year, I’m writing about my current most favorite fashion item (or should I say “items”?): white sneakers. Continue reading

Short-and-Stout to Tall-and-Slender(?)

The day was scorching hot and humid, plus I didn't get to retouch since 9am (this was taken at around 5pm), since I had to do the hair & makeup of all our models. hence this haggard look.

Summer’s here, and again I feel so heavy. Every time summer enters (that’s in March here in PH), I always feel the need to lessen my food intake, as I always find my clothes getting tight. Just last weekend, it took me much, much longer to find an outfit because none of the clothes I pictured myself wearing on that day fit me well. One tulip skirt looked like a bandage skirt on me, while my favorite loose tank top looked like a body-fitting workout shirt. Continue reading

Walking on Sand

Writing this post through my phone again. Using the WordPress app for posting entries turns out to be convenient. The only drawback is that I can’t seem to find the “Insert Read More Tag” option, so I will have to do that later.

Anyway, I had this sudden urge to write an entry upon browsing through the photo gallery of my phone and saw a picture of me at the beach a year ago and realized that I haven’t been to the beach for such a long time now. Continue reading

The Robe Cardigan and My Late Birthday Post

robe cardigan brass necklace Mac DivaI celebrated my birthday last January 27 and planned to post about the outfit I wore on that day but totally forgot to do so due to all the birthday-related happenings. So now, here’s my supposed birthday post that showcases one clothing item that I am totally in love with as of the mo’: the robe cardigan. Continue reading

Did my brows here using K-Palette 24H Real Lasting Eyebrow Liner

One other thing I lack aside from height is eyebrows. My brows are very, very sparse, appearing as if they don’t even exist, especially in pictures. Because of this, I’ve (almost) mastered the art of shaping and “sculpting” my eyebrows. I have also tried all forms of brow products that I know of, from the traditional brow pencil to the relatively unfamiliar pomade. In this blog post, I will be talking about my experience on every type I have tried (represented by the best brand I’ve used of each of the types), in chronological order, and tell you what I love and loathe about each. 🙂 Continue reading

A 1990’s Love Affair

shirt tied around the waist plaid distressed ripped jeans platform sandalsDays are pretty gloomy here in our city nowadays, which is pretty good and bad at the same time. Good, because we get to wear our jackets, pullovers, and other chilly weather garments, which we are only able to wear from the months of December to February. Bad, because it’s quite difficult to get good outdoor pictures using only natural lighting. Continue reading

Tried and Tested Make-up Tips and Tricks

makeup tranformation high fashion couture photo shoot

Trying out different looks from time to time — these were taken during one of our “play make-up sessions”. 😀

If my memory serves me right (it usually does when it comes to long term memories, but it mostly always, always fails me when short term ones are involved), when I was in my teenage years, I loudly said to myself and to my fellow wide-eyed teenage friends that I will never ever wear make-up (and nail polish), like EVER. Now, I can loudly admit that yes, I ate my words – all of ‘em. :’D

I never really thought I would ever become a make-up junkie. I did consider taking up professional make-up courses in the past, after my stint at med school was cut short (I dropped out, didn’t think it was for me), but that was just because I was inspired by a college classmate who took up the then less travelled path of professional make-up artistry (Check out her make-up blog here.), which has now become a thriving industry. Uhmm… I ended up taking baking classes instead. 😀 Continue reading
