Short-and-Stout to Tall-and-Slender(?)

The day was scorching hot and humid, plus I didn't get to retouch since 9am (this was taken at around 5pm), since I had to do the hair & makeup of all our models. hence this haggard look.

Summer’s here, and again I feel so heavy. Every time summer enters (that’s in March here in PH), I always feel the need to lessen my food intake, as I always find my clothes getting tight. Just last weekend, it took me much, much longer to find an outfit because none of the clothes I pictured myself wearing on that day fit me well. One tulip skirt looked like a bandage skirt on me, while my favorite loose tank top looked like a body-fitting workout shirt.

So every summer, I have two things to deal with when dressing up: 1) how to look tall, and 2) how to cover the unwanted bulges. And I do have a go-to outfit: the loose (cropped) top and maxi skirt combo.

One friend said I look tall here, so I guess this outfits achieves what I want to achieve. :P

With this get-up, I get to cover my two-layered belly and log-looking thighs while still being in fashion. No one would think I am hiding something underneath that little top, right? Well, I hope so. 😀

So anyone who has the same problem as mine can try this outfit out until, you know, our will power wins and pushes us to really eat light and EXERCISE and finally lose those unwanted fatty things in there. I have been trying to do that the past weeks, but to no avail. I’ll do it next week. Or the week after next. I just must do it.

Someone help me do it. 😛

  1. This is so late, I know. But I’ve been on a get fit journey myself and have seen amazing results. Everything I do is just with the weight of my own body, no fancy equipment needed. I do Blogilates’ pilates, Shaun T’s T25 and starting on Kayla Itsines’ free guide (because I can’t afford her proper guides for now). The most important thing is to get up and do it. The first few weeks will be tough but once you see results, even you won’t be able to stop you! 🙂 Hope that helps!
