I celebrated my birthday last January 27 and planned to post about the outfit I wore on that day but totally forgot to do so due to all the birthday-related happenings. So now, here’s my supposed birthday post that showcases one clothing item that I am totally in love with as of the mo’: the robe cardigan.
The robe cardigan looks like an ordinary robe, only it’s made of prettier textile. Just like the kimono cardigan, this item can instantly amp up a rather boring outfit. Robe cardigans come in different materials: from heavy knitwear for colder days to lightweight textiles for warmer months. Unlike before when robes were usually plain, nowadays they are produced in fun, printed material, which can be styled with plain dresses or a simple plain shirt and denim jeans combo.
You, too, can try this item out. Look for a length that falls on the lower part of your thighs or longer. For this clothing item, the longer the length is, the more fashion forward it becomes, which is always a good thing as long as the styling is proper.
For my birthday outfit, I wore my plain black dress with this printed robe from Apartment 8, which was on sale (I actually still can’t get over the fact that I got this for only Php200 at Metro Department Store in Marquee Mall, Pampanga. I bought one for my mom, too.), my favourite boots at the moment from H&M, which I also got at a discounted price (Php1,000 at their SM Megamall branch!), brass accessories, and Mac Diva lippie.
